![]() ![]() Make sure you understand the 'interactive licensing' thing that comes with most Daz products- it typically costs a few more dollars to license a Daz model for game use. for a single dev who doesn't need a particularly unique character for some specific reason, there is NO reason to waste months of your dev time on something you can click and generate. Daz characters can be exported with morphs in tact to just plug in and work with lip sync, they can be exported with already rigged and tested clothing and props. It would take you WEEKS if not longer to learn to make and texture a human to the same standard that Daz produces in SECONDS with the freely available content - before you even get INTO all of the add-on skins and shapes and clothing that are available. If you ONLY want realistic humans and you don't have a particular need that can't be met by it, Daz3D is the tool you want - and it works BEST if you can then use character creator to optimize and organize your animation collection before importing into your game engine. I'm going to buck what the group says here. Perhaps make a character in Meta Human and then if i need to get them new clothes then make that stuff in rhino? Meta human seems super easy, but it seems to be yet a bit limited. Should i just wait for the meta human to become fully available? But i dont mind if they come a bit standard if you know what i mean. There are so many i dont really know what to do.ĭo any of these provide that much of a benefit other than Rhino or 3ds Max? ![]() I searched and found these to be interesting: I wonder if im losing much if i stick with rhino or 3ds max to do characters? Even though i never made characters in them, and not sure of how suitable they are or if im losing a lot in not learning something more suitable. So im kind of hesitant to learn a new software just to make characters. But now i wonder if i need something specific to make characters for my new Unreal Game. I learned already a lot of 3d design programs. ![]()
